About Me

My name is Carole Tripp. I am the owner of "A Tripp in Time". This is also my passion.

The first house that I lived in was on Vintage Avenue. It seems that even then I was destined to fulfill my "vintage" dream.

I believe that my love for sewing began when i was approximately 9-10 years old. The first thing that I remember making was an orange and white Barbie outfit. It was sewn together with black thread and I never finished making the neck and arms.

For other outfits I cut the cuff off one of my socks to use as a skirt for her and the heel of the sock was her hat. Not having much money for Barbie doll clothes, I had to think outside the box.

My many years of sewing includes making prom and pageant dresses, bridesmaids dresses, adult, children, and infant clothing, curtains/window treatments and novelty items

Today my passion lies in making clothing with intricate attention to detail. Over the years I have worked on perfecting my sewing skills and techniques to achieve a high quality. My focus is on heirloom christening gowns and children's clothing. In April 2008, I became a licensed Babylock teacher by Martha Pullen.

When I am not tending to business, I might be found in one of many thrift stores, yard sales, or even local dumpsters gathering "roadside antiques". I also spend lots of time and love with my 6 cats and 3 dogs.
